Why did Korea's non-Chen war end in Japan's defeat?

This issue can't just look at Japan's national strength at that time.

Hideyoshi intends to attack North Korea mainly for the following reasons:

1. Solve the problem of too many domestic combat troops.

This is a problem that every regime that has come out of the war and completed reunification will encounter. In the process of conquering heroes by force, there must be a great force, and this force has become a burden in peacetime. The best way to solve this problem is to explore the outside world-the same is true of China's dynasties (Han, Tang, Ming and Qing Dynasties). Hideyoshi is no exception.

2. Cultivate the power of your name

For various reasons, Toyotomi Hideyoshi used diplomatic means in the process of reunifying Japan, and did not fight many big battles, but tried to leave a deep impression on the place names in various places. This has caused the territory directly under Toyotomi Hideyoshi itself is not big enough, and there are not enough territories that can be directly rewarded with names. Only 2.5 million stones are a great threat in Tokugawa Ieyasu (2.2 million stones are directly under the jurisdiction of Xiuji, but there are also revenues from mining and port trade all over the country. However, Katou Kiyomasa, Konishi Yukinaga, Fukushima masanari and other direct military commanders all own territory of about 200,000 stones. Toyotomi Hideyoshi's calculation is that after occupying Korea, it can increase the territory of its direct military commander. In a land as big as North Korea, everyone gets two or three million stones, and Konka's 2.5 million stones are not a big problem.

(Some historical materials that have survived to this day say that Konka wanted to retain its strength at that time and had no intention of sending troops. This is probably a statement of "being wise after the event". More likely, Toyotomi Hideyoshi doesn't want Konka to share North Korea at all.

Under objective conditions, it is very promising for Toyotomi Hideyoshi to send troops to Korea: at that time, Japan had just finished the Warring States Period of 150, and had the most experienced army in the world, equipped with the most musket weapons and the highest level in the world. Japan's gold and silver mines are at the peak of mining and have sufficient financial support. In this context, talk about the reasons why Hideyoshi finally lost:

1. There was no preparation for the investigation in advance.

This is the biggest reason for failure.

Before Japanese reunification, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, who was always fully prepared and investigated before the war, changed completely when he sent troops to Korea (probably because of his great success and bursting with confidence). The pre-war diplomacy was sandwiched between Japan and South Korea, playing with Master Ma's lies, and finally decided to go to war in anger because the master's lies were exposed.

The leader of the Japanese army is like this, and it is difficult for the following troops to do a good job. Before entering North Korea, Japan knew almost nothing about its geography and climate. In the war, while looking for a map, it is easy to win because of North Korea's poor combat readiness. 2. Internal opinions are divided/there is no realistic strategic goal

In modern company management, goal setting is also a university question. Goals that are too easy to achieve cannot give full play to the strength of the company, while exceeding too many goals will have no effect. If the boss's management ability is not good, it is easy to see the following things that are actually faked to complete the superficial goals. This situation is very common in China now, and so was Hideyoshi's time.

Due to the lack of careful investigation and intelligence collection, Hideyoshi naturally cannot formulate appropriate strategic objectives according to the actual situation. The actual front-line generals, after discovering that the strategic goal is unrealistic/the geographical situation in North Korea exceeds expectations, have different changes in their mentality, which are mainly divided into the main war faction and the main peace faction.

The hawks, led by Katou Kiyomasa, persisted in carrying out Toyotomi Hideyoshi's instructions and fought resolutely in a sinister environment. Konishi Yukinaga Ishida Mitsunari, a peace advocate, thinks that Toyotomi Hideyoshi's goal is unrealistic, and he should call a truce and return home as soon as possible, especially after the Ming army entered the war. With Ishida Mitsunari taking care of Hideyoshi, the pacifists naturally dominated the war. In the hawk's view, the hawk's attack was not active enough and the fighter plane was lost. In fact, Xiaoxi stopped fighting and held peace talks with the Ming army in Pyongyang for nearly three months, which gave Li's main force time to introduce North Korea and drive Xiaoxi out of Pyongyang.

The peace talks between Konishi Yukinaga and Shen Weijing in Ming Dynasty during this period can be said to be a wonderful work in the history of world diplomacy-both sides went back to cheat their bosses. Of course, this scam won't last long-when Hideyoshi saw the envoy sent by the Ming Dynasty to award the title of "King Hue", he finally found out that it was wrong. After being furious, he decided to send troops to attack North Korea again. After the scam was exposed, Shen Weijing was beheaded by the Beijing court. However, after the resumption of the war, Toyotomi Hideyoshi's strategic goal was simplified to "occupy South Korea". After five years of fighting, all Japanese generals have realized that North Korea is not easy to govern, even if it wins, it may not get too many rewards, and the war-weariness atmosphere has spread. After Toyotomi Hideyoshi's death, Japan unanimously decided to withdraw its troops from North Korea.

During the armistice period, the suppression of Ishida's main generals was one of the main reasons for the division of Toyotomi's family after Hideyoshi's death. Finally, Tokugawa Ieyasu took advantage of this gap to occupy the world of the Toyotomi family.

3. The existence of Li Shunchen

Li Shunchen's initiative made the Japanese army lack food and grass support, and was forced to levy food in North Korea, causing large-scale civil strife in various places. Civil strife in various places has always been one of the important reasons for the Japanese army's unrest, and the food problem is also the background for the Japanese army to make several strategic retreats.

Emphasize Li Shunchen, because the North Korean water army is actually losing in a row, and only under his command can there be a miraculous victory. After the North Korean court replaced him because of infighting, the North Korean water army began to rout again and again, and finally had to let him return to power before winning again. The victory of the Korean water army can be almost entirely attributed to him.

In my opinion, the biggest problem is hideyoshi. If his mind is as rational as Oda was when he was the head of the army, the development of the war situation will be very different (alas, if his mind is really clear, it may not even happen to send troops to North Korea ...).
