Han Ken was born in Chongqing in 1985. He immigrated to Hong Kong with his family at the age of 6 and lived in Hong Kong for twelve years.

Immigrated to Canada at the age of 18 and graduated from the Mass Communication Department of Simon Fraser University (SFU) in Vancouver. Before graduating from university, he participated in the filming of TV series of Hairun Film and Television Group in Canada, and developed a strong interest in film and television production. After graduation, he joined the Vancouver branch of Hairun Group as the assistant to the president.

In 2009, he was transferred back to Hairun Beijing headquarters and joined the film department. He is currently the vice president of Beijing Hairun Pictures Co., Ltd.
