Passport processing procedures:
(1) Get an exit application form.
I (or entrusted relatives and friends) must bring the following materials and certificates when I receive the Application Form for Entry and Exit Certificates of China Citizens from the exit and entry administration department of the public security organ where my account is located.
① Original and photocopy of the ID card.
② submit a passport photo of the applicant.
(3) Personnel in special positions need to issue letters of introduction from the company.
④ the applicant must be present in person (if the applicant is under 16 years old, it is only necessary for his parents to make a unilateral statement, but relevant documents should be presented, such as marriage certificate, household registration book, original and copy of ID card).
(2) Fill in the Application Form for Entry and Exit of China Citizens.
① before filling in the form, you should first carefully read each item in the form and the instructions for filling in the form. If you don't understand anything, you should ask the staff of the entry management department or help fill it out through the relevant consulting service agencies.
② The application form must be filled in with a pen, and the handwriting should be correct and clear, and it cannot be scribbled or altered.
③ This form is made in duplicate, and all items must be filled in, and each item must be consistent.
④ The application number is printed on the upper right corner of the form (the numbers of the four forms are the same), which the applicant must keep in mind for future inquiry.
⑤ The public security bureau and police station where the household registration is located must be filled in in accordance with the records in my household registration book.
⑥ Requirements for each column in the application form.
In the column of "Name", the name of the applicant must be consistent with the records in my ID card and household registration book, and must be written in standard Chinese characters. You are not allowed to change your name at will or fill in an alias.
The column of "translated names in foreign languages" must be spelled according to the Chinese phonetic alphabet of my Chinese name in Putonghua. When writing, the surname and the first name should be divided into two parts, with the surname coming first and the first name coming last. The surname and the first name should not be written together.
compound surnames are linked, but they must also be written in two parts with the first name; Names in minority languages must be translated and transcribed in Chinese phonetic alphabet names according to the pronunciation of minority languages; If some applicants' names have other spelling forms, they can apply to add them to the remarks page.
The column of "ID number" should be filled in according to the number in my official ID card issued by the public security organ, and the number in temporary id card is not allowed. Applicants who have not applied for a resident identity card can leave this column blank or fill in "None".
the column of "date of birth" must be consistent with the date of birth (including year, month and day) recorded in the household registration book and ID card.
The column of "place of birth" must be consistent with the records in my household registration book. If I was born in China, please fill in the province or autonomous region or municipality directly under the Central Government, or Hongkong, Macau or Taiwan Province. If born abroad, fill in the Chinese name of the country of birth.

in the column of "marital status", one of the four situations of "married", "unmarried", "divorced" and "widowed" must be filled in according to my actual situation.

in the column of "work unit", you must fill in the full name of your work or study unit. If you don't have a work unit, you can fill in "retirement", "resignation", "drop out of school" and "unemployed".
in the column of "position", you must fill in the actual position I hold or the occupation I am engaged in.
the column of "professional title" should be filled in according to my professional and technical title actually evaluated by relevant departments. If there is no evaluated title, you don't need to fill it in.
in the "address" and "telephone" columns, whether it is the address and telephone number of the work unit or the address and telephone number of the home address, you must fill in the detailed address, including the district, county, township, street name, house number, postal code, etc.
in the column of "my resume", you must fill in the main academic qualifications and work experience from primary school, including the year and month of the beginning and end, the name of the company and my position, etc., and fill it in continuously until the date of filling in the form, without any time interval or interruption.
in the column of "reasons for leaving the country", fill in "to visit relatives", "to visit friends", "to travel", "to settle down", "to study abroad" and "to study" according to my actual reasons for leaving the country and the invitation letter.
in the column of "one-way or two-way", "one-way" should be filled in except for those who go abroad to settle down, and "two-way" should be filled in for other reasons of going abroad.
In the column "Children under 16", if both adults and children apply for the same passport, this column must be filled in. Those who apply for passports separately do not need to fill in.
In the column of "Economic Guarantee and Economic Guarantor during Overseas Period", the name, age, nationality or place of origin of the guarantor, personal relationship, etc. shall be filled in. Fill in the name (full name) of the school that went to study in the country in the column of "School of Studying Abroad at One's Own Expense".
the column of "category of international students" should be filled in according to the nature of my study abroad, with "study" for those who study abroad, "specialist" for those who study in a junior college, and "study abroad" for those who study in a university or receive education above university.
the fields of "major studied", "degree studied", "academic year" and "date of commencement" should be filled in by the applicant according to the relevant contents stipulated in the "Admission Notice" issued by foreign (overseas) schools.
in the column of "main relatives at home and abroad", domestic relatives mainly refer to immediate relatives and close relatives, while foreign relatives and friends are mainly in close contact, and their foreign addresses must be filled in (both in Chinese and English).
in the column of "Remarks", you must fill in the reasons or credentials for applying for a passport, such as "employment letter" or "contract letter" for working abroad; Fill in the "Admission Notice" and "Economic Guarantee Letter" for studying abroad; Fill in the "invitation letter" to visit relatives and settle down abroad.
(3) Submit the Application Form for Entry and Exit of China Citizens.
① After completing the Application Form for Exit of China Citizens, it must be stamped by the Party Committee or the personnel and security department of the unit where it belongs, or by the neighborhood office or police station where it belongs if it is unemployed; If it is a rural household registration, it must be stamped by the first-level department of the rural village and township party Committee.
② issue a Letter of Introduction for Personal Application to Go Abroad (issued by the unit that seals the application form at the same time), and the desk head of the letter of introduction should be written in the exit-entry administration department of the local public security organ, and the content should be agreed.
③ Take a passport photo (generally a small two-inch black-and-white or color bareheaded front photo in the last three months) and post it on the Application Form for Exit of China Citizens as required. In addition, prepare at least 2~3 other photos of the same and write my name on the back of the photos.
④ prepare copies of documents and materials related to going abroad, such as invitation letter, guarantee letter and admission notice.
⑤ prepare my household registration book, ID card, work permit or other household registration certificates.
⑥ Submit the completed China Citizen Exit Application Form, foreign (overseas) invitation letter, letter of guarantee, unit introduction letter, household registration book, work permit, student ID card or unemployment card, retirement certificate, ID card and my photo to the exit and entry administration department of the public relations organ. If you apply for an expedited passport for special reasons, you must specify it when submitting the materials.
⑦ Waiting for Passport:
The exit-entry administration department of the public security organ can make a decision on whether to approve the applicant's passport application after accepting the application form and corresponding materials submitted by me and reviewing them, and generally notify the applicant within 3 days (6 days for those who are located in remote areas with inconvenient transportation, and about one week for those who are urgent). Be sure to remember my application number when handing in the form for enquiry.
⑧ Passport collection:
When the public security organ accepts my passport application materials, it must go through the process of examination and passport making. The applicant can wait patiently within the specified time and can collect the passport and exit registration card at the time agreed when submitting the materials or after receiving the notice from the public security organ.

China citizens who have the right of abode in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and hold valid Hong Kong permanent identity cards are issued by the Immigration Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Overseas qualified applicants may apply to our embassies and consulates. As of March 28th, 218, 162 countries or regions have granted visa-free or landing visa treatment to HKSAR passport holders.
6. Macao Passport
The Macao Special Administrative Region Identity Certification Bureau issues Macao passports to China citizens who are permanent residents of the Macao Special Administrative Region and holders of permanent identity cards of the Macao Special Administrative Region.
