Another story about the origin of Xu's surname comes from the genealogy of surnames in various countries: Boyi assisted Dayu in water control, and Dayu was old. He wanted to give up the throne to Boyi, who refused to accept it (note: being a leader at that time was to serve everyone), so he fled to the east of Xuzhou and made a living by fishing in the East China Sea.
