After American children reach the third grade, teachers will begin to pay attention to correcting their spelling mistakes and demand accurate spelling. Generally speaking, American children spend a lot of time reading and writing, while China children spend a lot of time remembering words.

Talking about Americans learning foreign languages. American universities have foreign language requirements, otherwise they cannot graduate. American elementary schools also offer foreign language courses. Good private middle schools offer hundreds of foreign languages, as long as students choose. Most foreign language teachers in the United States are native speakers. The United States is an immigrant country, so it is relatively easy to find foreign teachers in various mother tongues.
