What conditions do immigrants need to meet for naturalization in Portugal?

According to the latest National Act on Gold Residence Permit, you can apply for naturalization in Portugal if you meet the following conditions:

2. Children of foreigners born in Portugal can apply to become Portuguese citizens if their parents have legally stayed in Portugal for at least two years.

3. Children of foreigners born in Portugal, because they are minors, as long as they meet the requirements (proficient in Portuguese and have no criminal record) and meet one of the following conditions:

One of the parents has lived in Portugal for at least 5 years in any capacity before applying for nationality; Minors have completed at least one education cycle (a primary school cycle or a high school education stage) in Portugal.

Born in Portuguese territory; Children of foreigners, regardless of their status, live in the local area at the time of birth; Living in Portugal, regardless of status, for at least 5 years.

4. Individuals born in Portugal whose parents are Portuguese citizens can declare as Portuguese citizens if their other parents live in Portugal, regardless of their status, and have lived in Portugal for at least five years before the application, and their sons/daughters were Portuguese citizens at the time of birth.

5. Applicants who are citizens of Portuguese-speaking countries should be presumed to have cognitive ability in Portuguese.

6. When parents of legal marriage or de facto marriage with Portuguese nationality have the same children, there is no need to provide proof of participation in Portuguese community contact.
