Why did Liberia remain independent at the end of 19 and the beginning of the 20th century?

Liberia. After the abolition of slavery in the United States, in order to realize the plan of "black people returning to Africa", two black immigrants were established in Africa, the Federated States of Liberia and Maryland, and later merged into the United States of Liberia. In the early days, the United States sent a governor to manage it, and then it became independent with the permission of the United States. The country is dominated by African immigrants and has a special relationship with the United States. There is no difference between invading a country and invading the United States.
