Where is the Red Lake! ?

There is a red and white shallow saltwater lake in the southwest of Bolivia (near the border with Chile), which is the famous Red Lake. Also known as Lake Colorado. Mainly because the lake contains red minerals, it can be seen from a distance that the lake is red. Borax located in the lake forms a white island and is scattered on the red lake rich in red algae, forming a beautiful scenic line. A two-color lake, gray borax is suitable for red algae.

The red color of the red lake is due to the contrast between some red sediments and algae in the lake, and because the lake is rich in sodium, magnesium, borax, gypsum and other substances, some plankton grow well, so the whole lake is stained with a faint red color. 197 1 year, Ramsar Society signed a resolution that Red Lake became a member of Ramsar's internationally important wetlands.
