The subscription amount is temporarily 60 million yuan, of which all the initial construction costs have been paid. As early as January 8 this year, Nansan Bridge Construction Co., Ltd. submitted a formal written commitment to the Potou District Government on issues related to rights and interests after the completion of the bridge. It made it clear that after the bridge was completed and opened to traffic, it would waive tolls and give away the ownership of the bridge. To local governments, who will take over management.

What's more, when ferries are stopped due to stormy weather, some sick people are unable to leave the island for treatment even if they are in critical condition. The people of Nansan, who are unwilling to be isolated and poor and backward, have very urgent demands for the construction of Nansan Bridge and their voices are very strong. Successive governments in Potou District have made many efforts to build bridges over the years, hoping to build the Nansan Bridge as soon as possible to break the bottleneck of Nansan's economic development and change the poverty and backwardness of Nansan. However, due to the long-term lag in the economic development of Nansan, the flow of people and vehicles is small, and the economic benefits of bridge construction are not obvious. It is difficult to obtain a return on investment by relying solely on bridge tolls, and even the daily maintenance of the bridge is difficult to maintain. The significance of building a bridge lies in social benefits. This caused some investors to "stay away", and no one cared about it after several attempts.

Born and raised here, nine Nannan natives, including Li Zhong, chairman of Zhanjiang Guolian Aquatic Development Co., Ltd., and Huang Zhuangqiang, general manager of Guangdong Yindi Construction Group Co., Ltd., went out to start their own businesses. Successful entrepreneurs never forget their roots when they get rich, and they join forces to build the Third Nan Bridge. They jointly established Nansan Bridge Construction Co., Ltd. in November 2005. At the 2005 Zhanjiang Industry Fair, a letter of intent for bridge construction was signed with the Potou District Government, and it was planned to invest 132 million yuan in the construction of the South Third Bridge.

The route of the Nansan Bridge construction project starts near the breeding farm between Masiechihou Village and Duzai Village in Potou District, Zhanjiang, crosses the Nansan Waterway, and ends at Nansan Island (connecting to the completed thoroughfare Island Highway), the bridge is about 861 meters long, the approach road is 210 meters long, adopts the second-class highway standard, the design speed is 60 kilometers per hour, the roadbed width is 18 meters, the designed vehicle load level of the bridge and culvert is highway level I; the project investment is estimated to be about 99 million Yuan (including loan interest during the construction period, excluding preliminary bridge site exploration and other series of preparation funds). The construction of the Nansan Bridge will fundamentally solve the problem of transportation difficulties for the people on the island and promote the development and construction of the Nansan Island.
