Cangfang Town is located at the foot of Zhong Nanshan Mountain in Qinling Mountains, at the junction of southwest Henan and northwest Hubei, on the peninsula on the west bank of Danjiangkou Reservoir, at the source of the Middle Route of South-to-North Water Transfer Project, 75 kilometers southwest of Xichuan County, adjacent to Shigu Town in Hubei Province in the west and Wansheng Town in the north.
