Overview of Yexue Reservoir

Yexue Reservoir is located in the former site of Xueyun Village on the Wenying River, 30 kilometers northwest of Laicheng, Laiwu City, Shandong Province. Located in the middle of Shandong Province, 20 kilometers away from Laicheng and 46 kilometers away from Jinan, the provincial capital. There are Jinan-Qingdao Expressway South Line and Provincial Roads 242, 244 and 237 in the area, with convenient transportation. The control basin covers an area of 444 square kilometers, with a total storage capacity of 22 10/00,000 cubic meters, a beneficial storage capacity of1120,000 cubic meters and a dead storage capacity of 0.3 million cubic meters. The dam site area is composed of hard granite. The reservoir basin belongs to the southeast monsoon climate in the north temperate zone, with an average annual precipitation of 760 mm, an average annual runoff of 88 million cubic meters and an irrigated area of 9700 hectares. The first-class tributaries of the reservoir area are Tongtianhe River and Lishi River, and the larger second-class tributaries are upstream rivers. There are 5 small (1) reservoirs and 9 small (2) reservoirs in Shangcheng, Shicheng, Shangfashan, Lingdong and Hu Jiazhuang, with a total control basin area of 149.77 square kilometers and a total storage capacity of1kloc-0/65437.
