Pingqiao Wetland Park is located at the foot of Lei Zhen Mountain in Xinyang City and on the bank of Shihe River. The area is 752 hectares, and the wetland rate is 90.6%. Wetland types include rivers, reservoirs and water conveyance rivers.

It is mainly composed of Dongshuang River, Duhe River, Shihe River, Nanguan Canal, Qilongxi and some surrounding buffer zones. Three rivers meet in the park, which is rich in water resources.

From April 2065438 to April 2002, the district government of Pingqiao District of Xinyang City began to declare Lianghekou National Wetland Park. Experts and leaders attending the demonstration meeting first made a field trip to Lianghekou Wetland Park, and visited Hezhou Pavilion, Wetland Park Garden, Dongshuanghe to Jianqiao and Caisha River downstream of pontoon, and then held an evaluation demonstration meeting [1].
