Compensation standard for reservoir resettlement

If you are an immigrant, you must first have an account within the scope of land acquisition for reservoir construction (the red line of land acquisition) and own property such as houses within the red line before you can determine the eligibility for immigration. Once recognized as an immigrant, you can enjoy the immigration policy of the reservoir. If the reservoir project is a large or medium-sized reservoir, you can enjoy an annual 600 yuan per person and a subsidy of 20 years (small reservoirs do not have this fund). However, these funds may not directly subsidize people, but they can also be supported by projects, such as repairing machinery and plowing. Immigrants will get the same means of production (such as ploughing) as the residents in the resettlement area, and get resettlement land (homestead) according to the resettlement policy, and the original house will pay compensation funds directly according to the assessed amount; Immigrants build their own houses on the homestead of resettlement sites (the project owners may also be required to build houses on their behalf). All other personal assets within the red line can be compensated accordingly. But generally speaking, the compensation for reservoir immigrants is not high, because it is a social welfare project, which is different from commercial projects such as real estate development.

Legal basis: Article 22 of the Regulations on Compensation and Resettlement for Land Expropriation of Large and Medium-sized Water Conservancy and Hydropower Projects, if large and medium-sized water conservancy and hydropower projects expropriate cultivated land, the sum of land compensation fee and resettlement subsidy shall be 16 times of the average annual output value of the cultivated land in the three years before expropriation. Land compensation fees and resettlement subsidies can't make the immigrants who need resettlement maintain their original living standards, and if the standards need to be improved, the project legal person or the competent department of the project shall report to the project examination and approval department for approval.
