Hua: Brother Wu Songsheng.

It's been a while. The name Wu Songsheng seems to have faded out of people's sight. In fact, Wu Songsheng once had its glory and its own times. I have a lot of affinity with him. Record his past here and keep my memory in my heart.
Liu Dihuai (1897- 1979) and Guo Tiesheng (1907- 1990) are outstanding representatives of the top players in old China. Because they live in Shanghai and Beijing respectively, they are used to being called "South Liu and North Guo" in Weiqi. In the eyes of our young players, there were national players such as Wang, Wei Haihong and Wang Zhenxiong in Shanghai at that time, and their generations might be roughly the same. In Beijing, there are national players such as Jin Yaxian, Cui and Lei Baoshen. 1960 in the national weiqi competition, the top six (the top six events sponsored by the State Sports Commission) were: champion Huang Yongji, Wang, Chen Zude, Guo Tiesheng, Liu Dihuai and sixth place Zhao Zhihua. 1962 The top six are: champion Guo Tiesheng, Chen Zude, Wu Songsheng, Dong Wenyuan, Shen Guosun, and sixth place Jin Yaxian. 1964, Chen Zude won the national championship for the first time, and the runner-up was Wu Songsheng. Three to six are Huang Yongji and Luo. Obviously, this year, the above-mentioned predecessors have withdrawn from the national competition stage as a whole, and the new generation in New China has inherited the banner of China Weiqi. This is a milestone for the new generation to surpass teachers, and it is the best reward and inheritance for teachers' careful teaching. Chen Zude is 20 years old and Wu Songsheng 19 years old. 1965 There is no competition. In the national competition of 1966, Chen Zude and Wu Songsheng both won the championship and runner-up, consolidating their leading position. At that time, the national competition was the only domestic competition sponsored by the State Sports Commission, and it was impossible to organize other competitions, so its symbolic significance was particularly significant.

According to Premier Zhou's strategic decision, Vice Premier Chen Yi and Japanese Senator Kenzo Matsumura promoted the Sino-Japanese Go exchange which started at 1960. Therefore, the level of chess players in China has been greatly improved. At the beginning, Japan's ordinary nine paragraphs were given to the second son, and many national players may not pass smoothly. Therefore, in 1963, it was the first time that a player from China let Chen Zude beat Masao Sugiyama Jiuduan.
Chen Zude made persistent efforts to defeat the ninth section of Daming Yantian at 1965, which opened a new chapter in history. Daming Iwata's chess style is called Benguer School in Japan, which means seriousness and integrity. This kind of chess may not have such a strong influence on getting started, but it is like a ruler or a wall for getting started. If you can't reach the standard, it will be difficult to pass. Iwata visited China for more than 20 days, and a * * * played the 10 game with us. Among them, there are 7 bureaus in Chen Zude, 2 bureaus in Wu Songsheng and 2 bureaus in Wang Runan/KLOC-0. Chen Zude's opening record certainly lived up to expectations, which is gratifying. Satoru Iwata won 6 1 lost Chen. Looking back, it has gained a lot of face. Objective supplement: The schedule of visiting China is obviously tighter than that of Japan. Wu Songsheng's opportunity to play two games is an appropriate reflection of his technical position in the industry.
Wu Songsheng competed with Japanese players.
During the Cultural Revolution 1974, after the game of Go was resumed, it seemed that Wu Songsheng had never been in the top six before each game, which broke everyone's glasses. Compared with the national competition of 1974, Chen Zude won the championship again, with a big gap. However, Wu Songsheng has made great achievements in international competitions. China Weiqi delegation visited Japan on 1974, which was the first visit after the Cultural Revolution. Wu Songsheng won six games and lost 1, which was the highest among the delegations. It is particularly important to emphasize that it includes the "ten paragraphs" that defeated Hashimoto. Hashimoto kept ten titles at that time. This is a new record for Japanese players against China. This gratifying record has been maintained for a short time. Two years later, Nie Weiping's visit to Japan caused a "Nie whirlwind", with a total score of 6 wins/kloc-0 losses, especially defeating Fujizawa Hedeyuki's "Tianyuan" and Ishida Liangxiong "Honebo", who is known as the "electronic computer". Since then, it has become more common to beat the Japanese champion, so few people mentioned the new record set by Wu Songsheng, and even many people didn't know about it at all, only for a reason. Wu Songsheng also defeated Japanese Jiu Duan in Sanfang Chess.

1982 when the state decided to restore the professional position system established by 1962, the competent authorities first announced the positions of 10 players as the criterion for the unemployed players to apply for "temporary positions". It was in that year that Wu Songsheng, together with Chen Zude and Nie Weiping, won the ninth championship.

Wu Songsheng studied under Lin Mian (1921.9-2014.12). And Lin Mian is also my first teacher. He works in Shanghai Chess Club. The sports club on Nanjing West Road at that time is now the office building of Shanghai Sports Bureau. Shanghai Chess Academy held an enlightenment class. When I enrolled students in a nearby primary school, I was lucky enough to sign up. There are several teachers teaching, and Lin Mian is similar to the head teacher. It is said that Lin Mian was born in a noble family in Taiwan Province Province, so he represented Taiwan Province Province in the 4th National Games on 1979. I remember when I was in junior high school, the title of my composition was My Teacher. I will describe in detail how Mr. Lin Mian took pains to enlighten children from the perspectives of "four sons and one son" and "playing chess with two eyes". In retrospect, not to mention that my writing is definitely immature, first of all, the protagonist I chose to write was a failure. Think about how many people in society know what Go is. The marking teacher must be shocked. And the world is really small. Lin Mian taught Wu Songsheng. Although he was not a blank first teacher, he taught him seriously for a period of time. By teaching chess, I naturally became familiar with Wu Songsheng's mother and married her sister, becoming Wu Songsheng's uncle. As far as this relationship is concerned, Wu Songsheng is used to calling himself "Big Brother" to me, which is really good.
Although Wu Songsheng is only four years older than me, he made his debut much earlier. I can't remember the reason completely, but the first game of guiding chess made me remember correctly. Before I 1965 transferred to the national team, he was in Beijing and I was in Shanghai, so I didn't have a chance to receive guidance. But when the 1964 national competition was held in Hangzhou, a big pie fell from the sky. Chen Zude, Wu Songsheng and I were arranged in the same dormitory by the team leader! What an honor it is to live with Chen Wu for a month! In this way, I can hear the resumption of the two brothers every day and hear them talk about chess. I have gained a lot of knowledge, especially in technology, which I will never forget.

197 1 year1month, in the name of carrying out Premier Zhou's instruction that Go should be planted, seven people, including Chen Zude,,, Qiu Xin, Hua and Huang Dexun, were assigned to Beijing Shuangjing No.3 General Machinery Factory as workers. This factory has been closed for a long time, and its former site has now become a large shopping center called R&F City. All seven of us are single and need to live in single dormitories, but they are arranged to live in different places. Chen Zude and other five people * * * live in a big bungalow in Guangqumen. Wu Songsheng and I live outside Guangqumen, about one kilometer from the factory. This is a typical northern bungalow yard, with about a dozen rooms 12 and 13 square meters, with public toilets and public washbasins. The small courtyard is equipped with a reception room, where the old doorman eats and lives. Theoretically, he can't leave people for 24 hours.
It was winter when I checked in, and a lot of briquettes silently welcomed me and Wu Songsheng at the door. The doorman has lit the indoor stove and simply told us how to manage it. Words are warm as fire. We both realized the importance of the stove at once. We both rely on it to boil water, cook and keep warm. Two Shanghainese have studied the most common stoves in Beijing bungalows very carefully and reached the same level-neither of them can meet the standard-which will bring trouble to their companions. Before going to bed, we will "seal" the stove to keep it warm. This is called boredom. Sitting on a basin of water can not only increase humidity, but also be used for washing. In order to prevent gas poisoning, in addition to correctly sealing the furnace, it is also necessary to avoid too many cracks on the window. The first person to get up should poke the stove to make it burn normally. The last person to leave the house must seal the stove again. Whoever comes back first will be responsible for poking it open. We work different hours every day. Wu Songsheng works the day shift, also called the normal shift, from 8 am to 5 pm. I work shifts in the morning and in the middle, and I rotate once a week. The morning shift is from 6: 30 am to 2: 30 pm, and the middle shift is from 2: 30 pm to 10: 30 pm. The inconsistency of the rhythm of work and rest has undoubtedly brought us practical problems. But we can all keep pace with the times and put ourselves in each other's shoes. Even if something happens, it will never end. Again, the whole kitchen is the source of harmonious life. So we integrated into the bungalow life in the north.

One of Wu Songsheng's great hobbies is Tai Ji Chuan. I think in the days of the national team, everyone has a career pursuit, and the competition is fierce if they don't advance. Anyone with any hobby knows that enough is enough. First of all, there is no time. Into the factory, of course, is different. Wu Songsheng's main social activity after work is to find someone to learn from Tai Ji Chuan. Wu Songsheng's friends in Tai Ji Chuan are mostly founders of famous schools. Near Zhu Zhechi, the level of Wu Songsheng should be very high. Four or two kilos is a famous jargon of Tai Ji Chuan and also a mantra of Wu Songsheng. Some people commented that Wu Songsheng's chess style in his later years may have been influenced by Tai Ji Chuan. This article has no intention to discuss it in detail, so let's stop here.
Wu Songsheng and Jin Yaxian are close friends, so it should be said that they forgot to make friends. Almost everything I know about Jin Yaxian comes from Wu Songsheng. Jin Yaxian enjoys a high reputation in the world of Go with his fierce chess style. He is a Manchu, known as a doctor, and his medical skills are unique. When he saw a doctor, he smoked a strong Kanto smoke, and the kind that smoked leaves with a pipe was said to be disinfected when he came into contact with patients. He once treated intractable diseases for top female table tennis players in China, and gained a great reputation. Therefore, his prescription can be reimbursed directly in the medical department of the training bureau, which is an unusual treatment. I once doubted whether Wu Songsheng would marry Jin Yaxian's children. Facts have proved that this is really a daydream.
Wu Songsheng moved to Australia in 1985, and I never heard him reveal the real reason. Australia is famous for its vast deserts, among which there should be a desert called Wichita. It is difficult to agree that Wu Songsheng should go there to teach chess for a living. He won't like pioneering. More reliably, his mother emigrated, followed by Wu Songsheng. Even so, Wu Songsheng, as a respected and successful person, must have a reason. What we can see is that Wu Songsheng didn't give up Go, and Wu Songsheng played in the name of Oceania in 1988 the 1st Shi Ying Cup World Championships and 1996 the 1st Samsung Cup World Championships. From 65438 to 0999, Wu Songsheng taught chess in the northeast of China. I went back to Beijing for some time around 2000. He also worked as a "guest player" in Korean Chess Institute for about 6 years. When the cadres of Chinese chess institutes have the opportunity to meet their counterparts in Korean chess institutes, they always ask the Korean side to take care of Wu Songsheng, which shows that blood is thicker than water. Incredibly, Wu Songsheng died of a sudden cerebral hemorrhage in Australia in 2007 at the age of 62. I lost my brother's best friend, and I can't hear any wonderful opinions on Go anymore. Wu Songsheng, rest in peace. (China)
