The Baijinbao cultural site 3,000 years ago shows that the ancestors of Zhaozhou have entered the Bronze Age. From Shang and Zhou Dynasties to Qing Dynasty, Sushen, Yi, Fuyu, Qidan, Nuzhen, Mongolia and Manchu lived a nomadic fishing and hunting life here. The territory of Zhaozhou in the Jin, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties was roughly the same, but the nationality changed slightly, and the ruling place was finally one place.

1644, the Qing army entered the customs on a large scale. Although the flag bearer left the northeast, Han Chinese were not allowed to live in the northeast, and the history of the Great Northern Wilderness began and lasted for more than 200 years. Until the Guangxu period in the late Qing Dynasty, four large-scale immigrants were organized to enrich the frontier, and Han people from Shandong and other places flocked to Zhaozhou in the northeast. Since then, the ethnic groups in Zhaozhou are mainly Han immigrants from Shandong, and the economy has changed from animal husbandry to farming, and the period of land reclamation has begun. The Chinese culture in the mainland was more brought to Zhaozhou.

In the thirty-second year of Guangxu, Zhaozhou Tongzhi Hall was established, and Shen Chongshou was appointed as the first magistrate. In the second year of the Republic of China, the hall was changed to the county.

1903, the Middle East Railway crossing Zhaozhou was officially opened to traffic, and the status of the eastern part of Zhaozhou became increasingly important.

19 14, the government of the Republic of China set aside Zhaozhou jurisdiction on both sides of the railway and established Zhaodong County, covering an area of about 1700 square kilometers. At this point, Zhaozhou County is divided into two counties.
