Introduction to the three major types of Malaysian visas
In fact, there are many students traveling to Malaysia now. Before going to study in Malaysia, they also need to apply for a visa. Chinese people holding diplomatic, official, and official passports can enter Malaysia and stay for 30 days without a visa. . So what should I do to apply for a visa? I have compiled an introduction to the three major types of Malaysian visas for you.
Malaysian visa types are mainly divided into:
(1) Ordinary visa
Issued to foreign citizens who travel to Malaysia, visit relatives and friends, and engage in business activities. It is valid for three months and can stay for 30 days upon entry. Ordinary visas cannot be extended, but if you are unable to return home in time due to health reasons or flight problems, you can go to the Immigration Bureau to extend your visa with certificates issued by relevant hospitals and airlines.
(2) Electronic visa (E VISA, ENTRI)
Go to the Malaysian "Sin Chew Daily" report that the visa-free program for Chinese tourists is very popular, and the number of tourists entering Malaysia has increased by 26% , Minister of Culture and Tourism Nazri announced that the Malaysian government agreed to extend the visa-free entry policy for Chinese tourists until December 31, 2017.
However, it should be noted that Malaysia’s “electronic visa exemption” is not “stamped and released upon landing”, but tourists from mainland China still need to enter the “Window of Malaysia” (windowmalaysia.my) website. Register and apply for an ENTRI or EVISA electronic visa according to your itinerary needs. This policy will be implemented for tourists from mainland China in March 2016.
(3) Transit visa
If you already have a third country visa and connecting air ticket, you can apply for a transit visa at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Kuala Lumpur 2 International Airport and other ports. A transit visa is required once. Valid, the stay period does not exceed 5 days. Chinese citizens generally cannot apply for transit visas at medium and small ports such as Penang International Airport, Kuching International Airport and Kota Kinabalu International Airport.
