"Two Steps" of Physical Examination for Studying in Australia
Australia enjoys the highest health standards in the world. In order to maintain these standards, all visa applicants must meet the health requirements stipulated in the immigration law before obtaining a visa to Australia. For student visas, the Immigration Bureau will issue a medical examination form after submitting the visa, requiring the applicant to go to an approved hospital for medical examination, and then the doctor will send the medical examination results directly to LCU (local ClearanceUnit), and the courier fee will be borne by the applicant.
1. Initial physical examination:
You don't have to have an empty stomach before physical examination, but don't eat sweet and greasy food; Don't drink high-sugar drinks, such as cola, so as not to cause unnecessary trouble; If you have poor eyesight, you should wear glasses in time; The medical examiner must bring the original ID card and passport, and two passport-sized photos; Ladies, please avoid at least two days before and after menstruation; Those who have undergone surgery need to bring surgical certificates, and those who have undergone pathology need to bring pathological reports. The above precautions are for your reference. Please consult the local hospital for physical examination in foreign hospitals.
2. Second physical examination:
If LCU thinks that the applicant's physical examination results need further examination and confirmation, there are usually two ways:
Send the second medical examination notice first, asking the applicant to go to the hospital for further examination, and then the doctor will send the results directly to LCU, and remember not to change the hospital within the specified time, so that the trial time of the application will be further extended, which may delay the original school start time and need to be postponed;
The second is to send the 8 15 form-overseas medical examination form, requiring the applicant to go to the designated place for medical examination within the specified time limit after entering Australia. This 8 15 form needs to be filled in, signed and returned to the visa officer. Don't forget to take this 8 15 form to Australia after getting the visa.
