The origin of the name of Zhang Liangzhen town

Zhang Liangzhen originated in the Western Han Dynasty and was named after Sean once camped here. Formerly known as Zhangliangdian, it was later renamed Liuhou Town and Zhang Liangzhen. At first, it was sparsely populated, and it gradually developed after the Han Dynasty. A commercial port was formed in the Ming Dynasty and was famous in Henan, Anhui, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Hebei and Hubei in the Qing Dynasty. It was listed as a famous town by the provincial government in the Republic of China. After the founding of New China, the market became more prosperous. 1992, named Zhongzhou Town by Henan Provincial Construction Department.

The names of the villages around Zhang Liangzhen are also named according to the camp layout of Liu Hou. The four villages of Zhangliangdong, West, South and North where Zhang Liangzhen is located, formerly known as Sean Street, should have been Sean's own camp; According to legend, when the Han army was stationed here, Lv Hou was at odds with other concubines of Liu Bang, which made Liu Bang very angry. Finally, Sean said that Lv Hou was stationed with the Prince in the east of Sean Camp, and other concubines were stationed in the west of Sean Camp, namely Dongying Village and Xiying Village;

Liu Bang's Dazhai was stationed in the south of Japan, that is, Wang Ying Village. In the west of Wang Ying Village and south of Sean, there is a Fan Village, which is said to be the place where Liu Bang's cronies Fan Kuai are stationed. Later generations wrongly called "Fan" as "Fan", which can no longer be verified. About 6 miles northeast of Wang Ying is Ying Ji, the camp of Liu Bang's general Ji Xin. A few miles northeast of Ying Ji are Han Xin Street Village and Han Xin Daying; On the other hand, the river is stationed a few miles north of Wang Ying, connected with Sean Dazhai and Han Xin Camp, forming the southwest-northeast line, which is now called xiaohe village.

There are many villages named after camps and villages around Zhang Liangzhen, such as Zhangziying, Zhangguanying, Huying, Xuezhai and Yuanzhai. According to legend, they are all the former sites of the garrison, but the specific generals cannot be verified. There is an ordinary river between Sean Village and Wang Ying Village, but its name is very unique. It is said that Chu and Han fought, and the Han army fled all the way here, exhausted and unable to cross the river. Liu bang had no choice but to order a camp here. After a rest, the Han army got enough supplies nearby and really rallied. After winning Li's attack, he finally got rid of the situation of running around. Later, he marched into Xingyang, where he held a stalemate with the Chu army for four years, and finally he was able to unify the whole country.

People here have a proverb: Zhang Liang has a pit and there is a well in it. This pit refers to Erlangmiao pit, and the well refers to this ancient well. The villagers couldn't tell when it was dug, but the moss on the wall told the age.

Feng Ping, a villager who lives by the pit, said, "The water in this well is very sweet. Everyone says it's white sugar water. The villagers have wells at home, but they are either salty or bitter, so they still come here to fetch water to eat. "The villagers regarded this ancient well as a god and built a small temple with bricks by the well. Liu is an individual doctor in Yingnan Village. He keeps a stone tablet. The font on the inscription looks very clear, some like seal script, some like Oracle Bone Inscriptions.

Liu couldn't understand it, and later asked several old local teachers to help him translate it into modern Chinese characters. The general idea is: "Yesterday, Hanwang visited Zhangliangzhai and was good at offering wine here. After drinking, Wang Shen sang a poem: A glass of wine is full of lofty sentiments, aiming for the best in the world. Why not be afraid that the overlord will follow in the footsteps of Chu and wave his iron arm to level the world? " Hanwang Liu Bangbing applied for the second day of February, and the villagers respected him and carved stones to commemorate him. It was the second day of the twelfth lunar month in the fourth year of the Han Dynasty. "Whether this stone tablet is a cultural relic of the Han Dynasty is still inconclusive and remains to be identified by archaeologists. If it really originated in the Han Dynasty, Sean camped here, and Liu Bang visited here and found strong evidence.

Zhang Liangjiang has always enjoyed a good reputation. The history of planting ginger in Zhang Liangzhen can be traced back to more than 2000 years ago. There is a local legend that Liu Bang and Xiang Yu moved to Lushan Mountain as early as 206-205 BC when they were fighting for the world. At that time, Liu Bang was infected with the plague and could not recover for a long time. The locals provided Sean with ginger soup. After Liu Bang drank it, he was sweating like a pig and even recovered from his illness. For this reason, Liu Bang loved Zhang Liangjiang very much. After he took the throne, he asked native officials to pay tribute every year. Since then, Zhang Liangjiang has become famous in the Central Plains.
