Going to the East is one of the three major population movements in China, and the other two are going westward with Shanxi as the main body and going south to Southeast Asia with Fujian as the main body.

In fact, crossing Kanto is also a helpless move. The Chinese nation is a nation that has moved to other places. If you can survive locally, you won't migrate everywhere. This is because it can't survive. The reason for choosing Kanto in the three northeastern provinces is that it is vast, sparsely populated, rich in products and fertile in land. As long as I have hands and feet, I will not starve to death. The reason why Guandong is sparsely populated is because of the immigration policy of the Qing government. As the land of Longxing of the Qing government, Guandong was not allowed to immigrate to the past at first, and all of them moved to Beijing, so the land was vast and sparsely populated. The main reason for not going south to Jiangsu and Zhejiang is that there is basically no way out, although Jiangsu and Zhejiang are relatively rich. Jiangsu and Zhejiang have a large population and a small population, so it is impossible to accommodate a large number of immigrants. According to the economic conditions at that time, there was no way to provide a large number of jobs to support these immigrants.

So going south to Jiangsu and Zhejiang is actually just a dead end, but there is still a way out to the three northeastern provinces.
