1950 was under the jurisdiction of Xia Yan District, Yangxin County, Hubei Province. During the Republic of China, Xiawan Township was established in Xia Yan District of Yangxin County. During the Great Revolution, it belonged to the Soviet area. During the Japanese invasion of China, Yangxin County fell, and the county national government first moved to Dongkeng (now Dongping Village, Honggang Town, Tongshan County) at the foot of Taiping Mountain. Soon, Guan (Jiayu, whose real name was Long Chongxi) was transferred to Yangxin County, and the county government moved to the neighboring town until the victory of the Anti-Japanese War.

1950, Xiawan Village, together with Xia Yan District, Dafan District and Huangsha District, was placed under the jurisdiction of Tongshan County, successively under the jurisdiction of Sanyuan Township, Santian Township and Honggang Commune, and was organized into Aiqun No.8 Brigade, Aiqun Brigade and Risheng Brigade respectively.

Xiawan Village belongs to Kuwei District, fushui reservoir, and belongs to the reservoir area below 58 meters above sea level. 1959, immigrants from the Sixth Brigade and the Sixth Brigade of Guangming in Fuku District moved to Huoshaochang, Xiawan, Chenjiafan, Zhangdaqiu and Doumen for temporary residence along the river. 196 1 year, a production team named Li and Xiao settled in Dayangping, and the rest moved to Honggang and Maotianhe. 1965, Fanghua, Gangxi Weir, Huoshaochang, Xiawan, Chenjiafan, Orfila, Zhangdaqiu and Doumen were submerged by fushui reservoir, and the harbor and field were partially submerged. A small number of villagers moved out and most moved back (that is, the village was rebuilt to half of the house). Most residents of Fanghua moved to Guanjialong, a neighboring village. At present, Xiayan River and more than a thousand acres of reeds pass through the village, and Daguang Expressway passes through Luoziao, Fanghua, Gangxi Weir and Gangbian Natural Village.
