Do I need a Taiwan Entry Permit to go to Taiwan?

A Taiwan Entry Permit is required to enter Taiwan. Holders of Taiwan passports and other foreign passports or travel documents cannot apply for a Taiwan Entry Permit.

There are single-entry permits, consecutive permits, multiple-entry permits within one year, and multiple-entry permits within three years. People holding Taiwanese passports do not need to apply for a Taiwan entry permit. People holding foreign passports should apply for a Taiwan visa unless they are eligible for visa exemption.

Steps for Taiwan Entry Permit Application
