The main achievements of classical literature are drama, prose and literary theory.

Hellenistic era: refers to the end of 4th century BC to 2nd century BC. During this period, Macedonia conquered the whole of Greece, and Greek culture spread widely in the East and communicated with the East. The Greek cultural center gradually moved from Athens to Alexandria, Egypt, and its science, art and philosophy were quite developed. Academic circles attached great importance to book arrangement and built unprecedented libraries and museums. Greek became the common language in these places, so this period was called "Hellenistic period"
