Are there any immigration restrictions in China?

Of course, there are restrictions. In some cases, it is impossible to apply for a passport. The most basic requirement of immigration is that there is no criminal record.

In any of the following circumstances, the passport issuing organ shall not issue a passport:

1, without People's Republic of China (PRC) nationality;

2. Unable to prove identity;

3. Practicing fraud in the application process;

4, was sentenced to punishment is serving a sentence;

5, the people's court informed that there are unresolved civil cases can not leave the country;

6. Belonging to the defendant or criminal suspect in a criminal case;

7. The relevant authorities in the State Council believe that leaving the country will endanger national security or cause great losses to national interests.

If the applicant is under any of the following circumstances, the passport issuing organ shall not issue a passport within six months to three years from the date of his punishment or repatriation:

1. Being criminally punished for obstructing the administration of the national (border) territory;

2. Being repatriated due to illegal exit, illegal residence or illegal employment.
