I am a new immigrant and have a green card. I am a senior three student in America. Do I need to choose to take the SAT for international students in advance?
Green card holders do not meet the definition of international students and should not choose to take the international student exam in advance. TOEFL is a test of English ability of students whose mother tongue is not English. Although you are not an international student, the school may not ask you to submit TOEFL scores, but what's the point if you can't understand and keep up after entering school? So I suggest taking the TOEFL, so that I can have a more objective judgment on my English ability.
