Which province does Anshan belong to?

Anshan City belongs to Liaoning Province.

The name of Anshan originated from Anshan Post in the Ming Dynasty. It was named after a saddle-shaped mountain in the south of the city (commonly known as Camel Mountain, also known as goddess peak), with an altitude of 253.8 meters. At the end of the Warring States period, Anshan was the county of Hot Liao. After the unification of Qin Dynasty, Anshan belonged to Youzhou, named Ye He.

During the Eastern Han and Three Kingdoms periods, the iron smelting industry in Liaodong County flourished. At present, Xi 'anshan (goddess peak) has a well-preserved ancient cave site for smelting iron. From the first year of Shunzhi (A.D. 1644), the immigration incentive policy was implemented, and people from mainland provinces were distributed to farm here. Since then, people from Hebei, Henan, Shandong, Shanxi and other places have come to settle here. Most villages in Anshan area were established after the first year of Shunzhi.
