The Wuhan-Shennongjia high-speed railway was officially opened on June 20, 2022.

Characteristics of Shennongjia high-speed railway

The design concept of Shennongjia Station is "building a ladder to make it a natural oxygen bar". Shennongjia was named after Shennongjia built a building here to collect herbs. High-speed railway station's design combines the legend of Shennongjia and the local ecological environment characteristics to create a wild and natural style.

Walking into the waiting hall, looking around, the towering roof is equipped with transparent skylights and curtains to form an open and bright space. Zhang Shuo, the flight attendant of Shennongjia Station, said that the concave-convex metal plate at the top of the station building runs through from bottom to top, making the space more malleable. The inclined skylights on both sides are connected with wooden aluminum strips in the middle, which embodies the meaning of "taking wood as a ladder".

The gold in the station is very distinctive. Golden color is extracted from the coat color of the golden monkey in Shennongjia, which highlights the local characteristics. In the entrance and exit passages, aluminum plates of different colors overlap, splicing the silhouette of Dajiu Lake, and the scenery of Shennongjia Scenic Area is directly presented.
