Shenglong Metallurgy is a private steel enterprise that settled in Fangchenggang. In the past, the company's production capacity was only 5 million tons, and its products were only low-end primary products such as building steel bars. In recent years, Fangchenggang has made every effort to help enterprises undertake the transfer of steel production capacity outside the province, expand production capacity, upgrade technological innovation and develop high-end steel products, so that enterprises can develop rapidly. Today, the total steel production capacity of Shenglong Metallurgy has exceeded 6.5438+million tons, making it the largest private enterprise in Guangxi.

Fangchenggang is the core area of the "second venture" of Guangxi metal materials industry. The output value of iron and steel, copper and aluminum metal materials industry and grain and oil processing industry accounts for 78% of the total output value of industrial enterprises above designated size in the city. In recent years, the city has strengthened the drive of innovation and accelerated the promotion of "time-honored" industries such as steel, copper, aluminum and grain and oil processing from the low end of the value chain to the middle and high end, so that "old trees grow new branches" and glow with new vitality.

In the process of the transformation and upgrading of the "time-honored brand" industry, Fangchenggang has continuously improved the normalization mechanism for the development of service enterprises, given preferential treatment in terms of policy support and factor guarantee, timely and effectively helped enterprises solve practical difficulties, encouraged and guided enterprises to increase capital and expand production, upgrade technological innovation and extend the chain, and accelerated the cultivation of a number of tens of billions of enterprises in the fields of new metal materials, grain, oil and food, equipment manufacturing, new chemical materials and new energy.

Since the beginning of this year, Fangchenggang has focused on leading enterprises such as Guangxi Iron and Steel Group, Huasheng Eco-aluminum and Shenglong Metallurgy, strengthened the directional investment promotion of key industrial chains in the middle and lower reaches, strengthened the chain extension, and transformed the industries such as steel, copper and aluminum from rough processing of primary products to deep processing of end products, thus improving the scientific and technological content and quality benefits as a whole.

At present, Fangchenggang has introduced more than 50 deep processing projects of metal materials, with an additional investment of more than 60 billion yuan. The project covers steel components, galvanized sheets, color-coated sheets, industrial pipes and other fields, and basically forms a competitive development pattern of metal materials industry from large to strong, from low-end to high-end, and from dispersion to agglomeration.
