The Hunan Provincial People's Government's approval project for provincial administration

In order to further transform government functions, improve administrative management methods, improve administrative efficiency, and adapt to the needs of the new situation of establishing a socialist market economic system and joining the World Trade Organization, the Provincial People's Government has 163 administrative approval projects set at the provincial level and implemented by relevant departments of the Provincial People's Government or relevant provincial units were sorted out. After cleaning up, the Provincial People's Government decided to: continue to retain 71 administrative approval projects; change the implementation entities of 2 administrative approval projects; decentralize 4 administrative approval projects to cities and prefectures; cancel 86 administrative approval projects (the catalog of approval projects is attached back). For all administrative approval items retained in the "Catalogue", the relevant departments and units of the provincial government must carefully standardize them and establish simple and open administrative approval procedures and supervision and restriction mechanisms; All relevant departments and units of the provincial government will stop reviewing and approving projects and cancel corresponding fees. If the administrative approval items set up by provincial government regulations, provincial government documents, and documents of relevant provincial government departments and units in the past are inconsistent with this decision, this decision shall prevail. From now on, except for local laws and regulations and government regulations, any other form of documents in this province will not be subject to administrative approval items.

This decision will come into effect on October 1, 2002.
