Shell network recruitment

What kind of company is Huawei? China has many sayings; What role Huawei plays in the automotive ecosystem is actually inconclusive. Previously, Huawei's in-vehicle system HiCar was installed on BYD's brand-new model Han, which can be seamlessly interconnected with Huawei-related mobile phones, allowing people to see Huawei's role as a content and system provider. However, from the current point of view, there are still relatively few models that choose Huawei HiCar system. In the automotive field, depending on system and ecology, Huawei's market share may be very limited.

However, at the Beijing Auto Show last month, Huawei still brought many different things. Whether as a mobile phone manufacturer or a communication equipment manufacturer, Huawei's appearance at the Beijing Auto Show will indeed bring surprises and attraction to the participants, and it is still under the difficult situation that everyone knows now. Huawei's appearance at the Beijing Auto Show seems to show that Huawei is not only a system and software supplier in the automobile circle.

At the Beijing Auto Show, Huawei exhibited the related software and hardware of automobile products, including not only motors, electronic control systems, electric drive systems, MDC, intelligent cockpit and other components, but also lidar, high-precision maps, vehicle-mounted cloud platforms and so on, all related to autonomous driving and assistance. If you just make an electric car with a certain level of driver assistance, then the hardware and software equipment exhibited by Huawei at the Beijing Auto Show can basically "equip" a new car.

Judging from the previous related news, Huawei has reached technical cooperation with many domestic car companies, including BAIC, BYD, Changan and other car companies. Moreover, a year or two ago, Huawei began to recruit talents in the field of electric vehicles, and the salary was quite generous. The positions to be recruited include thermal management system engineer of pure electric vehicle, product manager of control system fee of pure electric vehicle, motor system design expert of new energy vehicle, battery research and development process expert of new energy vehicle, powertrain system design expert of new energy vehicle, etc. It can be seen that Huawei is in the reserve and research and development of electric vehicle related technologies. It has been "hands-on" for a long time, but now the car networking system provided by Huawei to some car companies or models is only nine Niu Yi hairs compared with the height and effect that Huawei hopes to achieve in the underlying technology of electric vehicles.

In fact, judging from Huawei's demand for recruiting technical talents and the software and hardware Huawei showed at the Beijing Auto Show, we have reason to believe that Huawei's current work in the automotive field is definitely not just to gain a market position in the automotive field in terms of systems and software, but to grow into a first-class supplier in the electric vehicle era like Bosch and other manufacturers. As long as the OEM needs it, it can purchase any required parts, software and hardware from Huawei. Or it can be said that as long as the manufacturer provides a car shell, in theory, Huawei has the ability to make it assemble and run. At the previous Beijing Auto Show, a technician probably expressed this meaning. In fact, in our view, this possibility is very great.

Therefore, judging from Huawei's current technical reserves and development direction in electric vehicles and car networking, Huawei may only need one car shell to build a complete vehicle. However, it is obvious that Huawei has no plans to put into production the whole vehicle at present, because from the current market and technical level, the significance of Huawei entering the whole vehicle industry may not be as good as becoming a supplier, which is Huawei's attitude in the technical field.

Of course, even if the technology accumulates to a certain extent in the future, or the related technologies and components are repeatedly verified on other OEM models, it is not impossible for Huawei to become an OEM. Because when a company has mastered the core technology related to electric vehicles, it is only a matter of time to make money. Tesla is actually such a car company in essence. Moreover, we also see that many enterprises that have no intersection with cars have put one foot into the car-making industry before, and those who sell air conditioners, houses and even wine have all started the road of making cars. Compared with these enterprises, Huawei's current technical ability and financial ability are obviously more capable of changing from a supplier to a main machine factory. And now you can see that when cars enter the intelligent age, smart phones and smart cars themselves have more similarities. These are opportunities for Huawei!
