With the development of urbanization in Tianhe District, suburban villages gradually set up administrative streets. From 199 1 to 2000, eight new streets were built successively. By the end of 2000, Tianhe District had 14 administrative streets and 2 towns, namely Shahe, Wushan, Chebei, Yuancun, Shipai, Dengfeng, Tianhe South, He Lin, Dongsha, Xinghua, Tangxia, Liede, Xiancun and Tianyuan.
Chebei Sub-district Office was established in 198 1. Located in the east of Tianhe District, the area under its jurisdiction spans Zhongshan Avenue and Huangpu Avenue, east to Donghuan Expressway, west to Chebei Road, south to Pearl River and north to Guangzhou-Shenzhen Expressway.
The administrative area of the jurisdiction is 5.6 square kilometers, with a total population of about 76,000 people (including about 25,000 registered residents and about 5 1 10,000 floating population), and it has under its jurisdiction Chebei Economic Development Co., Ltd. (formerly Chebei Village) and1kloc-0/community neighborhood committees.
The traffic on the street is very convenient. The main traffic trunk lines are Zhongshan Avenue, Huangpu Avenue, Guangyuan East Road, Chebei Road, Dongpu Avenue, Dongpu Second Road, BRT, Metro Line 4/5 and many other buses, with convenient transportation.
