Kangmei Industry is the main body of Kangmei Pharmaceutical controlled by Ma Xingtian, the founder of Kangmei Group, and was once the largest shareholder of Kangmei Pharmaceutical.

On February 29th, 2002112, the Intermediate People's Court of Jieyang City, Guangdong Province ruled that the bankruptcy reorganization plan of Kangmei Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. was completed and the reorganization procedure was terminated. After review by Jieyang Intermediate People's Court, all debts of Kangmei Pharmaceutical have been paid off by cash, shares and trust rights. At this point, Kangmei Pharmaceutical's bankruptcy reorganization ended with the reorganization goal as scheduled.
