History of Franklin Ou Lin Institute of Technology

In the past 60 years, the Ou Lin Foundation has funded 76 buildings in 68 schools across the United States. Later, the F.W. Olin Foundation established Ou Lin Institute of Technology in 1997. The foundation invested most of its remaining assets in the construction of the college and donated $460 million to Ou Lin Institute of Technology. The school's goal is to "train the most innovative 2 1 centrist engineer se reve the world" (to train the most innovative engineers in the 2/kloc-0 century and serve the world). In the project named "Invention 2000", Richard Miller, the current president of Ou Lin Institute of Technology, recruited the first batch of teachers and invited 30 "Ou Lin Partners" students to participate in the setting of the first batch of courses. "Ou Lin Partner" lived in a temporary dormitory. After graduating from high school, he spent one year investigating and evaluating mechanism, establishing student culture and experimenting with various engineering education.

Ou Lin Institute of Technology enrolled 75 students in the first phase in 2002, and then enrolled three more. In 2005, the college reached the scale of 300 students. Its extremely low admission rate (9.6% 20 12) and elite education (strictly controlling the number of students between 70 and 80 every year) ensure its excellent students, so that every student has enough opportunities to communicate and learn with professors.

Ou Lin Institute of Technology was founded by architect Perry Dean Rogers &; Modernist architectural design after partner. The original building was completed in 2002 and consists of four main buildings. The East Hall of the second dormitory building was completed in 2005. Future construction plans include a new teaching building, in which more mechanical studios and project studios will be set up. Ou Lin Institute of Technology and Babson College share many facilities, including health, public safety and sports facilities.
