Conditions for civil servants to apply for police posts

The conditions for applying for the civil service police are as follows:

1. Age requirements: those who apply for public security organs should be under 30 years old; Those who apply for police officers in prisons and drug rehabilitation centers should not be over 30 years old. Other organs such as forest public security and procuratorate should refer to the specific requirements of the corresponding departments.

2. Education requirements: College degree or above, but most institutions will require applicants to have a bachelor's degree or above. Of course, if they have a doctorate, they can be hired directly after going through the experience, assessment and political review, and they don't even have to take a written test or interview.

3. Professional requirements: According to different institutions and positions, different institutions and positions have different professional requirements for applicants.

4. Physical quality requirements: This is also very important. Applicants should not only be healthy, but also have certain requirements for height, body shape, vision and language expression. Taking height as an example, male applicants for civil servants and police officers generally require height above 170cm, while female applicants require height above 165cm.

5. Other requirements: similar to ordinary civil servants, including: having China nationality, supporting the Constitution and laws of China, and having good personal conduct.

Can't apply for civil service police:

1, who has received criminal punishment, reeducation through labor and disciplinary action;

2. Suspected of a crime, but the truth has not been ascertained;

3. Being expelled from public office or having been expelled from public office;

4. Personal morality is flawed, such as hooliganism, theft and other bad behaviors.

5. Family members are serving sentences or being sentenced to death.

Civil servants who apply for the police, in addition to the administrative professional ability test and application, also have to take physical fitness test.

The state has preferential policies for demobilized conscripts to apply for national civil servants: Article 37 1 of the Regulations on Pension and Preferential Treatment for Soldiers promulgated by the State Council and the Central Military Commission stipulates: "After discharged from active service, conscripts and junior noncommissioned officers will apply for national civil servants, institutions of higher learning and secondary vocational schools, and priority will be given to admission under the same conditions as other candidates."
