After Wang Rugang entered the Cultural Center, the first farce he came into contact with was whether he was satisfied or not. Originally, the director assigned him three lines, but he translated three lines into 30 on the stage, which received rave reviews. At that time, Yang Huasheng, Smile and Qingyang, the behind-the-scenes artistic director and crosstalk performer of the play, took a fancy to it. At that time, because Yang Huasheng had not been rehabilitated, it belonged to the "current counter-revolution". Later, because of Yang's rehabilitation, He Xiaoxiao formed the Shanghai People's Troupe on the basis of the original Dagong Troupe, and absorbed it from the beginning. At the same time, because Wang Rugang came late and his family environment was deeply influenced by traditional culture, Wang Rugang's father resolutely opposed his joining the comic troupe. Later, because Yang Huasheng personally visited Wang Rugang's father and persuaded him, Wang Rugang's father finally gave up his original idea, and Wang Rugang joined the Shanghai People's Comic Troupe as he wished.
