According to reports, the Ministry of Social Security recently released the annual report on the development of China's social insurance 2016, showing that last year China's social insurance system ran smoothly in general, and the number of China's pension insurance participants has reached 900 million.

The report said, the data show that in 2016 year China's social insurance system operation is generally stable, the level of treatment of all social insurance generally increased, of which the average monthly per capita pension of enterprise retirees is 2,373 yuan, an increase of 122 yuan over the previous year, an increase of 5.4%; employees and residents of the basic medical insurance policy scope of hospitalization expenses fund to pay the proportion of more than 80% and 70% or so, respectively .

The monthly unemployment benefits received by recipients of unemployment insurance nationwide amounted to 1,051 yuan, an increase of 91 yuan, or 9.5 percent, over the previous year. Various other benefits have also been raised to different degrees, with the people sharing more of the fruits of economic and social development, and the expansion of social security participation solidly advanced.

It is reported that as of the end of 2016, 76,000 units of enterprise annuities had been established nationwide, with 23.25 million employees participating, accumulating a fund of 1.1 trillion yuan, and 290.22 million employees participating in supplementary medical insurance.
