By the end of 20 14, the college has trained more than 2000 graduates, and trained and transported a large number of qualified high-skilled talents for Shandong's economic and social development and the construction of manufacturing bases on the peninsula. The employment rate of graduates has exceeded 95% for three consecutive years, and many professional graduates are in short supply.
In 2005, the college was rated as an advanced unit of national vocational education by seven ministries and commissions including the Ministry of Education. In 2008, it was identified by Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security as the national demonstration base for training high-skilled talents and the national demonstration project training base for training teachers of "New Technology of CNC Machine Tool Maintenance".
