On May 18, 2016, the Anhui Provincial Bureau of Statistics announced to the public that the average wage of the province's non-private sector employed in the year 2015 was 55,139 yuan (see: the latest data released by the Anhui Provincial Bureau of Statistics in May 2016), of which the average wage of the on-the-job workers was 56,974 yuan.

The upper limit of the contribution base for insured enterprises and individuals in Hefei is 300% of the average wage of urban non-private sector on-the-job workers in the previous year in the province (the upper limit is 14,244 yuan), and the lower limit is 60% of the average wage of urban non-private sector on-the-job workers in the previous year in the province (the lower limit is 2,849 yuan).

From May 1, 2016, the unit contribution rate for basic pension insurance for enterprise employees was reduced from 20% to 19%; the total unemployment insurance rate was reduced from the current 2% to 1.5%, of which the unit rate was reduced from 1.5% to 1%.
