2022 children's medical insurance payment time

The 2022 urban and rural residents' medical insurance payment has begun, this year's centralized payment period from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022. Children's medical insurance and adult payment standard and time is the same.

1. The unified filing period for children's (college students') health insurance for the year 2021-2022 will be from September 1st to September 30th.

2. For those who declared and paid into the account during the unified declaration period (Sept. 1-Sept. 30), the payment time period will be Sept. 2021-Aug. 2022.

If a declaration is filed and payment is not made to the account within the unified filing time period, the payment will be made from the month in which the retroactive deduction is applied for.

3. You can still declare your participation in the Children's Health Insurance in accordance with the regulations after the unified declaration period. If the declaration is completed before the 20th of the month, the time period for payment will be from the month of declaration to August 2022, and if the declaration is completed after the 20th of the month, the time period for payment will be from the following month of declaration to August 2022.

The payment period for 2021 health insurance ends Dec. 31, including children's health insurance.

The health insurance premiums paid this year are to cover health insurance for the next year, 2022, and if there is a break in payment this year, you won't be able to enjoy residential health insurance next year.

Children can apply for children's health insurance from birth, do not have to wait until the child goes to kindergarten or school to apply for children's health insurance, the earlier the application, the sooner the child will enjoy the health insurance treatment.

It should be noted that many regions have certain restrictions on the time for newborns to enroll in the program, and only within the specified time limit for children's health insurance, in order to enjoy the health insurance benefits from the date of birth. This time is generally stipulated as from the child's birth within two to three months, more than that can only be paid from the next month to enjoy the health insurance treatment, the specific policy can consult the local social security department or health insurance department.

Employers shall declare themselves, pay social insurance premiums in full and on time, and shall not suspend or reduce payment except for force majeure and other legal reasons. Individual entrepreneurs without employees, part-time workers who do not participate in social insurance with their employers, and other flexibly employed persons may pay social insurance premiums directly to the social insurance premium collection organization.
