Overview of Duofu Town

Duofu Town is located in the southeast of Xichong, formerly known as Duobao Temple. It is 10 kilometers away from the county seat and only 20 kilometers away from Nanchong City. It has obvious location advantages and is known as the shining pearl of the Nan (Chong) Guang (Yuan) Expressway, the east gate of Xichong County, the back garden of Nanchong City, a hot spot for entrepreneurship, and an investment paradise. In 1994, it was listed as one of the first batch of pilot small towns in the province by the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government. In 2009, it was listed as Nanchong City’s organic food processing base by the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government.

Duofu Town covers an area of ??25.2 square kilometers, has a total population of nearly 18,000, and an urban population of nearly 8,000. It is an important agricultural town, a strong economic town, and a cultural town in Xichong County. Various infrastructures in the township are gradually improving, and the construction of small towns has begun to take shape. The urban area has been expanded to nearly 2 square kilometers, and its 9 streets of "Fifth Street" and "Fourth Road" have been fully hardened and greened. Cable TV covers the entire town, and telecommunications companies such as China Telecom, China Mobile, and China Unicom have built base stations in the town. The town has convenient transportation. There is a station in the center of the town. Bus No. 20 from Duofu to Nanchong City runs every 15 minutes, closely connecting Duofu with the central city of Nanchong. In the town, there is not only National Highway 212 that crosses eight villages from east to west, but also two county roads that run north and south. The Guangnan Expressway under construction is a section of the Lanzhou-Haikou Expressway of the national road network. It passes through the central town of Duofu and connects with National Highway 212. There is a 2,000-square-meter farmer's market in Duofu Town, with an annual trade volume of more than 25 million yuan. It has become an important material distribution center in the Shun (Qing) West (Chong) Economic Corridor.
