Nearly 110 countries around the world implement daylight saving time every year, and the specific international regulations for adopting daylight saving time are different.
In Australia, all except Western Australia, Queensland, the Northern Territory and Eucla observe daylight saving time. Daylight saving time begins on the first Sunday in October and ends on the first Sunday in April in each state. In other words, daylight saving time in Melbourne will start at 2 a.m. on October 2 this year and end on April 2, 2023.
