kindergarten

Among all schools in Portugal, the number and teaching quality of private schools are relatively better, so many Portuguese immigrants will still consider choosing private kindergartens when preparing to choose kindergartens for themselves.

Children go to school from 7: 00 to 20: 00. This time is a few hours longer than the public nursery, and there is a special car transfer. Therefore, it may be a great attraction for working parents who want to go to work on time after immigrating to Portugal.

However, if the children are older, public schools are a good choice for better communication or adaptation with local children in the future, because most public schools have good teaching level and quality, and they are free.

middle and primary school

On September 15, people who have reached the age of 6 need to attend public or private schools every year. If there are enough places, children who have reached the age of 6 from September 16 to February 3 1 day can also attend public schools. Private schools usually enroll children over 6 years old at the end of the year. However, some public primary schools have preschool classes, which can enroll children over 5 and under 6 years old, and they don't charge tuition fees.

Primary and secondary schools in Portugal are managed by regional groups: several schools form a school group, and one of them exercises administrative power. Parents can only send their children to schools near where they live. Therefore, parents who choose to buy a house must also know about the surrounding schools when they inspect the real estate.
