How do you think?

1, listening

IELTS listening is a part of the whole exam, usually a monologue or dialogue between two or more people. * * * There are 4 units with 38 to 42 questions, and the topics of general training and academic listening are exactly the same. The difficulty of the four units increases in turn. The first two units are mainly scenes about social status and interpersonal relationships in daily life, such as conversations about accommodation or shopping.

Step 2 read

There are many kinds of questions, such as collocation questions, short answers, complete sentences, choosing paragraph titles, chart questions and so on. The length and genre of the article are not as fixed as TOEFL reading, but the content is what candidates must face in their foreign life.

Step 3 write

There are also some differences between the general training and academic writing of IELTS. The examination time is 1 hour. Candidates are required to complete two articles, each with 150 words and the second one with 250 words. The general training road test requires candidates to write a letter according to the setting of the topic, which is mostly related to daily life, such as complaining, job hunting, asking about the situation and so on.

4. Oral English

There is no oral part in the TOEFL test, and candidates who want to apply for a teaching assistant scholarship often have to take another oral test. Different from TOEFL, IELTS candidates are not faced with recorded standardized questions, but directly face the examiner and conduct one-on-one interviews. This is one of the reasons why IELTS is more and more recognized.
