Introduction of Wudongde Township

Wudongde Township, formerly known as Dashongshu Township, is now called Wudongde Town. Located in the northernmost part of Luquan Yi and Miao Autonomous County in Kunming City, Yunnan Province, it faces Malutang Township in the south, Jiaopingdu Town in the west, Huidong and Huili County in Sichuan Province in the east and north across the river. The resident of the town government is away from the county seat135km, with a land area of186.78km2 and a total cultivated land area of 2,306,544. There are 8 villagers' committees and1kloc-0/villagers' groups in the town, inhabited by Han, Yi, Dai, Lisu, Zhuang and Wa nationalities. Total population at the end of 20 13 17439, including 607 non-agricultural population. The highest altitude in China is 330 1 m, and the lowest altitude is 800 m. The terrain is high in the south and low in the north, and it transits from the cold Liangshan area to the dry-hot valley area, with obvious three-dimensional climate.
