The Daughter of Dashan is a realistic TV series starring Yang Rong and Liu Yijun. It tells the touching story that Huang Wenxiu, a rural girl, gave up her job opportunities in big cities after graduation and resolutely returned to her hometown to fight for poverty alleviation until she gave her precious life.

The TV series "Daughter of Dashan" was jointly produced by the Propaganda Department of Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Party Committee, as well as Guangxi Radio and Television Station, Zhejiang Tianguang Diying Film and Television Production Co., Ltd. and Guangxi Television Media Development Group Co., Ltd.

The play is a project funded by Zhejiang Culture and Art Development Fund, with Yan Conghua as the chief producer, Guo Zhongshu as the screenwriter, Lei Xianhe as the director, Yang Rong and Liu Yijun as the leading roles, and Juanzi, Li Junfeng, Tan Lina, Lu Ling, Zheng Xiaoning and Nicky as the leading roles. This is a realistic TV series based on the deeds of party member, an outstanding Communist in China, and Huang Wenxiu, a model of the times.

The Daughter of Dashan shows the initial mission and dedication of young people in the new era represented by Huang Wenxiu, depicts a picture of the struggle for building a well-off society in an all-round way, and profoundly eulogizes the greatness of Socialism with Chinese characteristics road in the new era. The play was shot in Baise, Nanning and Beijing. It is reported that in order to be closer to the prototype of the characters and truly show the touching story of poverty alleviation at the grassroots level, the script is easy to draft, and the screenwriter and director have been exploring the most appropriate cut-in and expression.

The creative team went to the field to experience life many times. Yang Rong, the heroine, goes deep into the place where Huang Wenxiu lives and works, and repeatedly reads Huang Wenxiu's diary and other materials to understand the emotional world of the characters. Actor Liu Yijun changed his old style in the play and made his debut as a rural cadre for the first time.

The creative team expressed the hope to show the audience the spirit of Huang Wenxiu and the great victory of China's poverty alleviation and development by focusing on people and stories in the real society and with the help of artistic expression under the lens.
