Dafang county: do a good job in the prevention and control of environmental pollution in water sources

Recently, Dapo Water Plant of Dafang County Water Supply Phase II Project was flooded. The water source is the Chahe Reservoir that people in Dafang County have been looking forward to for many years. The treated water meeting the drinking water quality standard is expected to be supplied to tens of thousands of residents in Dafang County on August 1 day.

The irrigation project of Chahe Reservoir in Dafang County is a comprehensive water conservancy project which mainly focuses on irrigation and takes into account the water supply in the county. This is of great significance to solve the problems of water use, drought relief, industrial production and small town construction for urban and rural residents in Dafang County, and to promote sustainable economic and social development. The main construction contents of the project include dam hub project and pipeline project. The dam height is 67.10m, the total storage capacity is11240,000 m3, and the normal water level is1445m. The pipeline project includes irrigation area pipeline project and county water supply pipeline project, with a total length of 4 1883.43 meters.

For a long time, the water source of Chahe Reservoir has been polluted by the upstream coal mining area and the production and life of people on both sides of the river. To this end, Dafang county party Committee and county government have made great efforts to prevent and control water pollution. At present, the water quality of Chahe Reservoir has been effectively improved, reaching the drinking water source standard.

Chahe Reservoir Pollution Prevention and Control Project is a project involved in Central Environmental Protection Inspector 20 17. It is the expectation of the people of Dafang County and a project that benefits the people and the future. It is very important to protect Chahe Reservoir.

Since 20 17, the garbage collection vehicles and bins purchased by Dafang County have been put into operation in this area, and the rural garbage in the upper reaches of Chahe Reservoir has been classified and recycled, and the domestic garbage collection and transportation system has been optimized and improved. At the same time, 725 people from 148 households involved in the first-class land protection zone of Chahe Reservoir were all relocated in order to let the people drink safe water and feel at ease. Thoroughly clean up the pollution sources in the first-class protection zone of Chahe Reservoir.

In addition, since the implementation of the river length system, Lutang Township in the upper reaches of Chahe Reservoir and Duijiang Town in the reservoir area have carried out river patrol activities all the year round. Four-level river chiefs, honorary river chiefs, village cadres, village cadres, river guards, road guards, village guards, forest guards, all teachers and students of Fengchan Primary School and other village (community) representatives participated in the river patrol activities.

In recent years, in order to protect the water source of Chahe Reservoir, people on both sides of the upper reaches of Chahe Reservoir have made great contributions to the protection of Qingshan, Mother River and Dafang County's "big water tanks".

The upstream length of Chahe Reservoir is 1.65km, and the river regulation project with an investment of 4.27 million yuan has been completed. At the same time of river regulation, the upstream Little Square construction, house beautification, three changes to residents' houses (toilet, circle and kitchen), sewage treatment and other projects are also promoted in an orderly manner.

By the end of July this year, the pollution prevention and control project of Chahe Reservoir in Dafang County had been basically completed.
