What is the best French romance in your mind? Why?

The most beautiful French romance in my mind is the trilogy of blue, white and red.

Trilogy of Blue, White and Red is three films directed by Polish director Krzysztof Kislovski in 1993- 1994.

Blue, white and red are also the three colors of the French flag from left to right. All three films are based on the inherent presentation represented by these three colors: freedom, equality and fraternity. It constitutes an immortal light and shadow color in the history of film, which is especially recommended and worth seeing.

Blue, White and Red Trilogy is based on Julie, a female image who lost her love and children in a car accident. She became isolated after falling into deep despair. Juliette Binoche's portrayal of this image is particularly successful, which makes an unspeakable pain leap from light to shadow, and the film's discussion of freedom and life constructs its profound emotional core. Living in isolation will only deepen personal pain. Only after suffering mistakes can life be reborn and truly free through tolerance and understanding. Director krzysztof kieslowski's interpretation of the French Blue is so profound and moving.

White in the Blue, White and Red Trilogy is the most dramatic one in the trilogy. The gap between sex and money caused by the love between husband and wife and the inequality between the two sexes eventually led to the humble barber being mercilessly abandoned. After he was homeless and drifted back to his hometown, he avenged and redeemed his ex-wife, which not only constructed the plot tension of the film full of black comedy, but also skillfully became a director.

Among Krzysztof's trilogy of Blue, White and Red, which is known as "the film poet", my personal favorite is the red in Blue, White and Red. As the final work of the trilogy, red represents the fraternity symbolized by the French flag, which is different from the freedom and equality of the first two works. The clever metaphorical conception integrates the emotional but strong color of red into it.
