Xinyu City is located in the middle reaches of Yuanhe River, west of central Jiangxi Province. Geographical coordinates are 27 33'-28 05' north latitude and114 29'-115 24' east longitude. It is connected to Zhangshu City and Xingan County in the east, Yuanzhou District in Yichun City in the west, Qingyuan District, Anfu County and Xiajiang County in Ji 'an City in the south, and shanggao county and Gao 'an City in the north.
