2014 primary and secondary school enrollment zoning and work opinions in Lingang District, Weihai City, Shandong Province

In order to further strengthen and standardize the enrollment of compulsory education schools in the district and ensure that the enrollment of students in 2014 is scientific, orderly and smooth, in accordance with the national "Education Law", "Compulsory Education Law" and "Shandong Province Primary and Secondary School Student Status" "Management Regulations" and other education laws and regulations and normative documents at all levels, combined with the actual situation of our district, hereby put forward the following opinions on the enrollment of primary and secondary schools in compulsory education in the district in 2014:

1. Enrollment principles

In accordance with the principle of "macro-control, zoning enrollment, and nearby enrollment", enrollment areas are delineated. Each school accepts new students in strict accordance with the prescribed enrollment areas to ensure the smooth progress of enrollment.

II. Enrollment plan and area

(1) Primary school enrollment plan and area

The first grade of primary school plans to enroll 20 classes with 858 students.

Among them: Caomiaozi Primary School has 4 classes with 160 students, recruiting students from Caomiaozi Town; Wang Tuanwan Primary School has 4 classes with 120 students, recruiting students from Wangtuan Town; Huang Lan Primary School has 2 classes with 65 students, recruiting students from the jurisdiction of Huang Lan's office; Yanshan Primary School has 12 classes with 513 students, recruiting students from the jurisdiction of Wangshan Town.

(2) Junior high school enrollment plan and area

There are 15 classes and 549 students enrolled in the first grade of junior high school. Among them: Weihai No. 14 Middle School has 3 classes with 92 students, recruiting students from Caomiaozi Town; Yanshan Middle School has 8 classes with 312 students, recruiting students from Yanshan Town; Wangtuan Middle School has 4 classes with 145 students students, recruiting students from the areas under the jurisdiction of Wangtuan Town and Huang Lan Office.

3. Policies related to admissions work

(1) Strictly control the age of admission. According to the "Compulsory Education Law", the entry age for the first grade of primary school is 6 years old, that is, school-age children born before August 31, 2008.

(2) Strictly control the school district. The principle of enrollment in primary and secondary schools is "zoned enrollment, enrollment at the nearest location". The whole district is divided into school districts according to the enrollment capacity of each school, and students are admitted according to the designated school districts based on their household registration and address.

(3) Strictly control household registration. The child's household registration must be consistent with the parents' household registration (the household registration must be more than one year old with the grandparents).

(4) Regarding the children of migrant workers. For children of migrant workers who come to our district to study, parents should bring their temporary residence permit and employment unit certificate to the local school to contact their children for admission, and the schools will be arranged according to the principle of nearest enrollment.

(5) Admissions work must adhere to the principles of openness and transparency. Resolutely put an end to cross-regional enrollment, and schools that violate regulations will be notified and criticized. Students who do not meet the admissions requirements will not be registered.

IV. Enrollment Procedures

The first step: (June 10-25) The District Education Bureau conducts a thorough investigation of the source of students in the enrollment area and does a good job in communication .

The second step: (June 26-30) Each primary and secondary school holds a meeting for primary schools and kindergartens in the enrollment area to arrange the deployment of enrollment work. At the same time, we will do a good job in publicity and explanation to the society to ensure that qualified freshmen register at relevant schools within the specified time.

The third step: (July 1) Announce the enrollment area and enrollment plan on the district education website.

Step 4: (August 20-24) Issue the admission notice.

Step 5: (August 27th-28th) Freshmen will report to school.

Step Six: (September 10th-15th) Each school will register, establish student status files, and report to the District Education Bureau for filing.
