Zhongyuan Institute of Technology is a key discipline construction university with characteristics of Henan Province, which focuses on engineering, takes electronic information, textiles and clothing as its characteristic advantages, and has the coordinated development of engineering, management, art, science, literature, economics, law and philosophy. The school was founded in 1955, formerly known as Zhengzhou Textile Vocational and Technical College, and was affiliated to the former Ministry of Textile Industry. 1998 was placed under the management of Henan Province, and it was renamed Zhongyuan Institute of Technology in 2000.
