Gansu Health School is located at No.60, Donggang West Road, Chengguan District, Lanzhou City. Adjacent to the First Hospital of Lanzhou University, Provincial People's Hospital, Affiliated Hospital of Gansu College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Lanzhou University, Gansu College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Lanzhou Business School and other universities. It is the first batch of national key secondary health schools supervised by the Education Department of Gansu Province, the first batch of national secondary vocational education reform and development demonstration schools, and the national demonstration training base for skilled nursing professionals.

The school originated from Lanzhou Nursing School in Gansu Province and was founded in 1956. /kloc-0 changed its name to Lanzhou Health School in Gansu Province in June, 1962. 1969 Lanzhou Health School in Gansu Province was revoked by Gansu Provincial Revolutionary Committee. 1970 moved to Dingxi and established Dingxi District Health School. 1973 In May, Lanzhou Nursing School in Gansu Province was rebuilt in the former site of Lanzhou School. 1June, 1984, it was renamed Gansu Health School with the approval of the provincial government.

The school now has five provincial demonstration majors (nursing, foreign-related nursing, midwifery, medical imaging technology, dental technology repair) and two provincial backbone majors (medical laboratory technology, pharmacy), with 6657 ordinary full-time students.
